Drawing on my vast property and asset experience my primary focus at PACT is developing strong, long term business relationships with professionals who operate within the corporate recovery and property debt advisory sectors, an area that I have specialised in for the past 30 years.

As a member of the Non-Administrative Receivers Association (NARA) and an RICS registered property valuer  I am able to assist clients on complex, high profile appointments and have advised clients, including all major IP’s and property lenders.

Having honed my skills during my time at ES Group (formerly Edward Symmons & Partners), as both Head of the South West region and Head of Auctions, I understand the strategic & economic relationship between property and plant.  I have a passion for auctions and particularly enjoyed the days of live auctions on the rostrum.  I have had the pleasure of working for some major corporates, such as Reckitt Benckiser, Thales, Linde Lansing, amongst others, advising on plant and undertaking disposal programs as part of organisational restructuring plans.


My Approach

I am very hands on and PACT allows me to provide clients with the very personal attention that can be lost when part of a larger organisation.   I take time to listen and understand my clients wishes and pride myself on a pragmatic approach providing clear, considered advice, working collaboratively with all stakeholders, to achieve the best outcomes; the ultimate aim to maximise realisations and add value on all appointments.

My Experience

Over the last 30 years I have worked on many interesting and varied assignments including the property and lettings management and eventual sale of Dragon Film studios near to Bridgend in 2019, the disposal of the business assets of Walker Wingsale in Devon, and the valuation of various power from waste and biomass power generation plants.

My initial experience in the early 1990’s provided a very challenging environment advising on numerous failed residential developments and at one time I was building out so many sites I had my own NHBC registration. Once that recession had passed there was a sustained period of growth when I was able to open offices in Plymouth and Birmingham for Edward Symmons both of which were successful providing clients with sound professional advice.

The recession of 2008/9 was another challenge when the demand for valuation advice to support property lending dried up overnight. This property led recession was at a time when my clear advice based on experience was well received with many outcomes exceeding my clients expectations.

In my spare time

I am a voluntary Board Director at Horsfall House, a charity running a 44 bedroom nursing and dementia home in the Cotswolds, where I look after all the ongoing property matters and sit on the operating board. This is a hugely rewarding role where I hope I can be of benefit to the smooth running of the home and of benefit to the local community.

When not at Horsfall House I can be found on the local golf course forever trying to produce the perfect round, fishing for trout and salmon (always returned) or in my vegetable garden
